In the Tupiza District the LCF local coordinator, Nohelia, is working with the local community health clinic and receiving help from the registered nurses there to train parents and/or gurdians on proper food nutrtion for their young children. Health education for parents is part of our ongoing efforts to improve the health of young children in Bolivia and other parts of the world and ensure higher success rates in our nutrional supplementation programs.

During the re-screenings, 50 children were evaluated/re-evaluated for malnutrition.

Hermana Helen. She is 20 years only and lives out in the country side. She is pregnant and, unfortunately, does not have the full support of her parents.
Nohelia with Hermana Gladis. Gladis is a recent convert of three months. Her son, Romel, is a recipient of nutritional supplements through LCF.
Nohelia with Hermana Ana. Ana is 30 years old, has minimal income, and is expecting a baby. She can't speak well, but she is very grateful to the Foundation and all those who donate.
